Located in central Paris, France, this historic 2-storey Paris Apartment was designed by Iryna Dzhemesiu and Vitaly Yurov as a dramatic melding of classic details and contemporary design. Aside from the beautiful black, this Paris Apartment also showcases distressed leather in the same shades as the parquet oak flooring and multiple pops of brass accents.
Located on the outskirts of Bangalore in Karnataka, India this staircase with human sculptures was designed by Abin Design Studio to first and foremost create a connection with the earth outside so while the life-sized reading sculptures are the main focal point, the staircase itself rests on and is embedded in locally sourced Sadarahali granite.
This modern student apartment comes from the creative minds at LYCS Architects and is located at Campus Hong Kong in the Tsuen Wan district. LYCS refers to this modern student apartment as “Happiness Inside a Small Apartment” and it is one of 48 units located in the lower 3 levels of an existing hotel.
Art Buro took a classic Parisian Apartment and gave it a contemporary décor by first painting the walls a soft mid-tone grey, refinishing the herringbone floors in a clear finish and then layering in Carrera marble features such as the backsplash and counter slabs and contemporary cabinetry such as this crate style kitchen.
Industrial lofts can feel overwhelming due to their large size and over height ceilings but by using innovative design details, MARTINarchitects was able to turn Loft is Loft into a cozy and unique space with the help of such design details as a living wall in the dining room, a chalk wall in the kitchen, an oil drum sink in the powder room and a copper tub in the master bath.
