Modern Apartment with White Rooms has Colourful Interior Design
If you love bright, bold colours it might seem odd to suggest living in an all white apartment but if you think of white as a blank canvas it might be easier to realize that all those white rooms offers the opportunity to splash all kinds of vibrant colours here, there and everywhere.
Nemetvolgyi Utca apartment by Margeza is one of my favourite examples of this exact concept. Located in Budapest, this home with all white rooms is infused with bold colour everywhere – even the custom light fixtures on the ceiling are a blast of yellow, red, blue, green and orange discs.
While bright-saturated colours offset the white rooms, white is also included in much of the furnishings, but in these locations vibrant coloured accessories are layered in.
Grounding the colourful accessories are select furnishings that are just as colourful but void of pattern.
Pattern is brought into the design through bold pinstripes in the kitchen and hallway and through furniture and accessory voids as seen in the chairs and lighting of the above photo.
The pin striping in the hallway is created by vertical and horizontal LED lighting..
The master bedroom, although still colourfully decorated has a slightly more subdued ambiance, keeping the bright yellow and blue tones behind your head so that sleep comes easy.
As with the rest of the white rooms, pattern in the master bedroom is included in unusual ways. The main pattern is the carpet surrounding the soaker tub which is a textured oasis of 1700 pompoms!
Pinstripes also make an appearance near the soaker tub, this time in the clothing of 3 sailor girls keeping watch over water.
Backing the master bathroom is the guest bathroom. Here a super fun heated towel rack. is designed in an organic, artistic arrangement that compliments the more geometrical elliptical pattern on the vanity.
