Cat Graffiti by 20 Street Artists including Banksy and C215

Cat Graffiti is popping up everywhere and some street artists even specialize in it, such as C215, others such as Banksy create pieces that represent all sorts of images, some of which just happen to be of cats. This curated collection of 20 street artists cat graffiti are some of my favourites, but there are many others as well. The one pictured above left is Cat on a Hot Tin Ramp by Guillaumedhios, while the one above right is by a Tucson artist called. Cyfi.

2 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Above left is a somewhat eery image of cat graffiti by 0331C. The image is located in Moscow and was done with a fire extinguisher of all things. The cat graffiti above right is by Foundry5. It brings to mind the  phrase “Here’s looking at you kid”.
3 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Here’s a folksy interpretation of a cat that takes over the complete façade of the building. By Padure in Malta, apparently, according to the above photo its liked by humans and cats alike!
4 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Just as folksy but not as happy is this cat graffiti by Canadian street artist Shalak Attack. I think this cat just might be getting ready to attack something, I wonder what it could be?
5 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Who says trash bins can’t be fun? These Alley Cat Trash Bins are by DMS 163 who is otherwise known as Davie De Melo Santos.
6 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215This cat graffiti reminds me of the Thinker for some reason. It must be the eyes, gazing into the future, contemplating what is to come – at least that’s my interpretation. By street artist Berok, this cat graffiti is definitely all about the eyes.

The one above left is in London and was done in 2015, the one above right is called Fisticuffs and was in 2016. It is a collaboration between Irongy and Boe and depicts one brave little mouse. Did you know that Irony paints on things? What a great name for her Facebook page.
8 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215So that’s what the skeleton of a cat looks like! This cat graffiti is the creation of Roa, it’s a little dark and yet I can’t take my eyes off of it, the skeleton fascinates me.
9 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Too cute. The above left cat graffiti was created by SMOK. As cute as this cat graffiti is you might be surprised to know she has also created street art of ants, crows, frogs, and even fists held defiantly in the air. She has a short video on her Facebook page called “Lets colour society”.
Above right is a cat graffiti by Annar_50. Just as cute it really pops against its purple stripes.

Done by DALeast-xx it would be cool to know if he actually creates these images in wire first. Above right is another cat graffiti that focuses on lines. This is a piece by Dzia Krank. Dzia has a very distinct style with the curvature of the lines and the colours popping up in a variety of different animal portrayals such as foxes, squirrels and rabbits.
11 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Above left is a cat graffiti by Suriani, located in Paris this piece gives away the artist by its eyes. The piece above right is a 3D piece created by Bordalo II. Bordalo II, otherwise known as Bordalo Segundo, II is taking the art world by storm with his trash creations that  prove without a doubt that one man’s trash is another ma/n’s treasure. His Facebook page is a great way to follow his work. Oh, by the way, did you notice he included himself in this photo wearing only a trash can on his head

The cat graffiti above left is by Jamie Scanlon and what is so interesting about this piece is that it was inspired by Banksy and he credits Banksy for turning his life around. After doing this piece Jamie has gone on to create many more street art images under the name JPS which you can follow on his Facebook page. Since JPS was inspired by Banksy, it seems only fitting that we show a Banksy beside his cat on a chain.

Here are two more cat graffiti by Bansky. The first is located in Paris and is called Umbrella Cat. The second is in Gaza and was done to draw attention to the misery in this part of the world. His goal was to use his celebrity to have the image seen everywhere and in so doing the background of the bombed homes would also be seen.

Just to show that Banksy doesn’t always have to make a political statement, this cute kitty by him is just fun.

Cat Graffiti by Walter Molli

15 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Walter Molli has a distinctive cat graffiti style, mainly because he portrays the same cat in each image. I am assuming this is his forever cat but I don’t really know. The one above left is a freehand spray can sketch and is located in Italy, the one on the right is a little more complicated but probably started with a similar sketch.
16 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215The cool thing about this hairless cat is how Walter Molli is able to capture all its wrinkles so beautifully.
17 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Meow-zer! The word Intruders to the right of this cat graffiti is no accident. All 4 of the Walter Molli cat graffiti I have featured are from his Intruder series. You can follow him on his Facebook page here.

Cat Graffiti by Silly Sully

18 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Silly Sully has a very distinctive style when it comes to his street art. Best known for his rescue Husky paintings, which he does to raise awareness to each husky’s plight, he has still managed to find time to paint several different cat graffitis, all in bright almost fluorescent colours.
19 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215Silly Sully cats are almost always hazy and slightly out of focus, or maybe that’s just my eyes as they adjust to the vibrant purples and blues.
20 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215This Silly Sully stalking cat definitely makes the otherwise black doors pop. The cat even overpowers the more traditional graffiti flanking the doorway.

21 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215I’ve saved the most prolific cat graffit artist for last and am featuring 11 different examples of his work. C215, otherwise known as Christian Guemy has cat graffiti featured everywhere. The one pictured above in the middle is called Monsieur Chat.

23 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215There is something very intelligent about C215’s cat graffiti, it is as though each of his cats has lived an interesting life and is trying hard to let us know their stories.
24 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215I don’t have much information on each of the C215 cat graffiti images but I do know the above right image is called Clowder of Cats.
25 cat graffiti street 20 artists including banksy c215The apartment building in the above right photo is located in Paris and features a very large C215 cat graffiti image.
